Whilst we normally receive a good response from customers that buy the bullet, just occasionally we get an email or Feedback that is both funny and to the point, recently I was sat drinking my morning cup of tea (we don’t do coffee at Bullet HQ) and scanning the orders and emails when I came across an unusual piece of Ebay feedback “Get one Now, I got a leg over straight after using (with a girl) !!” crude you might say however after I’d mopped up the hot liquid that I’d just choked on I emailed Johnny from Australia and asked him to explain how trimming nose hair had made him so sexy, he regaled me with a story that after taking delivery of his bullet and putting it to good use, he went on a date with a female acquaintance and certainly a good night was had by all, he also added as his finishing line:
PS, the leg over was not paid for & was consensual. No inner nose skin or humans were harmed by this sequence of events.

Well there we have it proof beyond doubt that the bullet is indeed both necessary, the Best nose hair trimmer in the world and furthermore increases your pulling power. Gentlemen what more encouragement do you need, get trimming and you never know where or how your day could improve.

In a recent survey of over 122 women aged 18-45, 76% said that hair sprouting out of a man’s nose or ears was disgusting and a certain passion killer. ‘A hairy back ugh!!’ was the most common response, especially from younger women. The longest ear hair in the world

Would you buy groceries from this man? Assuming you would, could you honestly keep a straight face? This is Indian grocer Radhakant Baijpai and he has the longest ear hair in the world. His bushy tufts measure an amazing 25cms. You have to ask the question why? Did he wake up one day, and decide to grow his ear hair for fun? Or did his nose and ear hair trimmer run out of batteries and so he decided in a fit of pique to never trim again as a protest against shoddy grooming devices? Sorry Mr Baijpai but you resemble a Marmoset and a grumpy one at that. This might be a good look for a monkey, but is definitely not a good look for a greengrocer. We’d like to donate a Bullet to this gentleman and as our nose and ear hair trimmer is battery free, he can be assured that it will never let him down. So if anyone knows Mr Baijpai, please pass on our message.

What’s in a name?

Take one look at the coolest and best nose hair trimmer on the planet, and you’ll see why we called it the Bullet.
(Let’s face it, you hardly need to be a marketing guru to come up with that name)!

Funnily enough when we recently Googled ‘the bullet’ we found two other products using the name. One is a food blender that claims to chop onions, mince garlic, grate cheese (hard or soft) and do virtually any job in the kitchen all in 10 seconds or less. The other is a… ahem ‘love toy’ described as everyone’s favourite mini vibe, and is compact, zippy… well the less said the better. So for clarity, ours doesn’t require batteries, so please don’t expect it to vibrate and when we describe our Bullet as ‘sexy’ we mean it looks cool.

After all men always remark on the weight and feel of the trimmer. It’s chunky, solid, and engineered in brushed stainless steel, all attributes we men are attracted to.
The neoprene case it fits snugly into also gets a big thumbs up. While it takes out nose and ear hair with laser like precision, it won’t chop onions or hard cheese.
Used frequently, it will make you more attractive to women, but please don’t expect it to arouse them.

Can plucking nose hair prove fatal?

OK, we sell nose hair trimmers, so we’re bound to advise against plucking nasal hair. But 50 years ago they were able to get away with claiming that ‘pulling the hair from your nose may cause a fatal infection’. In those days a man would either pluck his nose and ear hair or ask his barber to snip them out. Nose hair trimmers and Terrorists!

I happened to find myself visiting the UK recently, obviously I had bullets with me, they’re always a good source of amusement when you play the “what do you think it is” game with someone you’ve never met before and then watch female friends at first repulsed then turn and say “erm how much are they I know at least one man who needs one, oh and his dad and maybe my dad and then there’s my brother” etc..

So feeling like Alan Whicker I toddle off to the airport, its a near 30hr flight from here so ensuring I’m wearing loose clothing, slip on shoes, trousers without the need for a belt and a jacket that could pass as smart casual (you never know when you’ll get that lucky upgrade) I filled in my get out of the country free papers and proceeded to X-Ray.

On arrival at the conveyor, I removed my laptop, emptied my pockets and placed my jacket in a separate tray, I walk through the teleporter/terrorist detector unit and hey no beeps wahoo!! I begin to wait for my hand luggage when I heard the thing you always dread to hear at this point “Is this your jacket sir?” suddenly my life flashes before me as I quickly recount where said jacket has been and conclude yup its not full of drugs or lined with plutonium although as the officer points out it does have an object they’d like to see in one of the pockets, where upon I stupidly blurt out “oh its ok its only a bullet” which has about 10 Customs officers reaching for their tazers!!

“No not that kind of bullet, one you stick up your nose”, he looked at me blankly, “it’s the best rated nose hair trimmer on the planet”, I say proudly. Ok so now I’m labelled a crackpot terrorist and not just a terrorist. I go to pick up my jacket as an excitable customs officer unholsters his steel best friend and I reach for mine…

I pull from my pocket “the bullet” and offer it to said officer, explaining its purpose, hes still skeptical as people normally are on first viewing the bullet, but I show him the working end, now he gets it. “Wow have you got anymore” I smile broadly and say yes “I’ve got another 25 in my case” to which he responds “ah well sir I hope you like what you’re wearing as that may be the last time you see your luggage if customs seize it for being full of bullets….. oh by the way where can I buy one”? I give him the good news about our website and then meander off praying my bag turns up in UK……

Well my luggage did turn up, the UK was great, grey, wet, expensive but certainly there is occasionally a great in Britain. I gave away a few bullets, generated a bit of interest and generally flaunted my favourite man gadget about…

Coming back all was good, except a 3hr delay in Dubai whilst they re-glued the wing back on to the airbus I was about to catch, although I got that lucky upgrade to business class which generally helps, never the less 18hrs from Dubai in one haul is tough going even with free flowing champagne and canapes

The only real pain whenever you land is having to get off the plane every time it stops which you cant really argue with, much as I’d love too. So at Melbourne I made the usual trek through the airport to try get back to the gate from whence we just came; for some reason at this airport they insist on hiding the transit route, it’s like being in a Las Vegas casino, you walk through duty free, its all very bright there’s lots of shiny things wanting your money, but where’s the bloody exit!! There’s a sign saying “passengers in transit” and an arrow then it all just disappears but living in Kiwiville you learn to sense these things and using the force I manage to find my way up 2 flights of stairs round a bend, up another skateboard ramp and there i am at customs again.

Greeted with a “G’day” straight out of Home and Away I get the usual “Did you pack your bags yourself Sir” errr “I’m in transit” he didn’t really like this response and asked again “Did you pack your bags yourself SIR” . Wittily (I thought at the time) I replied, “Well yes I did, and before you ask it’s my skin I’m wearing too”! Perhaps my English accent threw him because I got away with it, anyway I managed to get through the teleporter without any beeps but clearly officer 2 didnt like the look of me (or maybe he did) so I got the free lingering grope then over to collect my luggage “Is this your jacket Sir” and away we go again……

So the moral of my little tale is this, unsightly nasal hair must be kept at bay, so carry your bullet at all times in case of sudden hairy protrusion, however dont be surprised if you get felt up by customs all round the world if you tell them you’re carrying a bullet!!! and dont say I didnt warn you.

Nose hair isn’t funny or is it?

Isn’t humour a funny business? We spotted this joke item on sale in Japan. It seems the Japanese find nose hair hilarious. Having seen some Japanese game shows, with their obsession with pain and toilets, we can be thankful there’s no ‘booger’ attached to the joke nose hair.

What we find disturbing is the fact that the illustration on the pack appears to show a Frenchman, that’s if a striped jumper and beret make you French? Why pick on the French anyway? Is it because of the urban myth that all French women have bushy underarms? Just try Googling ‘french women hairy arm pits’. You’ll find websites in praise of hairy women for reasons I’d rather not go into, as well as forums dedicated to smooth hairless (body hair that is) french girls.

Body hair truly is a subject that inspires passionate debate. We recently conducted research on the streets of Auckland in New Zealand. As Auckland is a multi national city, we were able to ask women from the USA, Brazil, UK, France, Canada, Israel, Germany, Australia and of course NZ, what the biggest turn offs in a man were. For most, body hair was a no-no, especially back hair which induced shudders of revulsion from many respondents.

As we sell the best rated nose and ear hair trimmer in the World, we were delighted to discover that 76% of women between the age of 18 – 45 find nose and ear hair a huge turn off. Then again body hair was deemed very sexy way back in the 1970′s and 80′s, so who’s to say the pendulum won’t swing back in favour of hirsute men, sporting chest hair, bushy sideburns and rampant nose hair. Now that would be funny.

Don’t you just love the internet… we had a lovely order in today from Estonia (thank you Martin). Now none of us at the Bullet even knew where Estonia was, sorry all you Estonian readers! However unlike the late and unlamented GW Bush, we’re willing to be educated. While most of our sales come from the USA and the UK we’re always delighted to expand the Bullet empire. The Bullet Video

Just in case you didn’t see the video demonstrating our nose hair trimmer on our home page, here it is again featuring my lovely goddaughter Sophie. There’s also another video you’ll find it by clicking on ‘more’ underneath the pic of the ‘eyes’ at the top right of this page. We filmed it in Auckland, New Zealand and asked nearly 100 women between the age of 18 and 45, what they thought was the biggest turn off in a man. Not surprisingly a hairy back was the most disliked, but a hairy nose was not far behind. Watch it and see some of the reactions, upsetting if you’ve got a hairy back like me!
